This page shows my current prices as an individual/private Maths tutor or Physics tutor at Glenwood in the Hills District of Sydney, NSW. I usually tutor maths from year 7 of high school up to year 12, and HSC or IB physics (years 11-12).
Wishing you every success with maths this year, and in the future!
I am unavailable on Sundays.
These prices are current as of January 2020.
Unlike many tutors, there is no need to pay for (or commit to) a large number of lessons up front. Payment is usually made on the day of the lesson, for that lesson only.
While most students have one lesson a week, you can attend as often as you like. Some students prefer lessons once a fortnight, or even once a month. Or, if there are important exams coming up they may have two or more lessons in a week. Provided a reasonable amount of notice is given, we can adjust your timetable as you go to give you the tutoring that suits you the best.
Also, unlike many other tutoring providers, there's no fixed, rigid set of work that each student has to be doing on any given day. The lesson content is adjusted on the fly, minute-by-minute, to wherever the student is at — to whatever happens to be most beneficial, and the highest priority to be learning at each moment.
I accept cash, personal and bank cheques, bank transfer / direct debit, Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal.
No cancellation fee applies if a reasonable amount of notice of cancellation is given.
Every effort will be made to re-schedule lesson when required, if a student cannot reschedule a lesson at any of the times offered by the teacher the fee for that lesson is non-refundable. Fees for classes canceled without proper notice are non-refundable.
Special consideration will be applied for reasonable unforeseen circumstances.
I'm often asked to help my existing maths and/or physics students with other subjects they may be doing, such as chemistry, biology, computer science (coding/programming in various languages, databases, etc.), junior high school science, and the UMAT (Undergraduate Medicine and Health Sciences Admission Test) or GAMAST (Graduate Medical School Admissions Test). Although I do not specialise in these subjects, or advertise as being a tutor for them, I am often able to assist.
Hope we get a chance to meet down the road.
